Job Description:

In this dynamic, project-driven internship within the supply and operations functions, you will be expected to engage in strategic research to develop supplier leads and initiate contact in new markets. You will take the lead on optimizing operational flows and be responsible for preparing detailed cost models and financial statements, including profit/loss and cash flow analyses. Additionally, you will be expected to implement strategies aimed at optimizing profitability. This role requires robust analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and strong capabilities in communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in supply side projects that are research-driven to identify and develop supplier leads for new markets, including initiating contact with potential suppliers.
• Take the lead on enhancing the operational processes, including mapping communication flows, data flows, and data structures for operations.
• Prepare and analyze cost models for procurement projects to ensure efficient financial management.
• Draft detailed profit/loss and cash flow statements for various projects to monitor financial health and project viability.
• Research and develop a crop cycle calendar for both existing and potential new products to optimize supply planning and forecasting.
• Conduct thorough market research to support the launch of one new supply market, including lead generation and establishing initial contact.
• Propose and implement process improvements within operations to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage the data recording process, ensuring accuracy and reliability of operational data.
• Participate in weekly reviews, providing and receiving feedback to continually refine strategies and objectives aimed at optimizing profitability.

Qualifications:

• Basic analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data effectively and make informed decisions.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, capable of handling data manipulation, analysis, and visualization to support business operations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, demonstrating the capacity to work collaboratively across diverse teams and contribute to a cooperative environment.
